Carousel of Light. There couldn't be a more suitable name for what is, without a doubt, one of the most beautiful bookstores in the world. Located in the historic heart of the capital of Romania, the bookshopCărtureşti Carusel of Bucharest It presents itself to visitors in the guise of a very white 19th century building. Built in 1860, the palace belonged to a well-known banking family. In the 1930s, however, following the financial crisis, theChrissoveloni Palace(that's what it was called) had been transformed into a bazaar. Confiscated during the communist regime, it was finally abandoned and left to its fate.

Only in recent years did the family of origin begin the restoration and modernization of the building until it became what it is today: the Carousel of Light. Officially inaugurated in February 2015, the bookshopCărtureşti Caruselof Bucharest has quickly become one of the main attractions of the Romanian capital. The palace is located in the lively areavia Lipscani, in the historic center of Bucharest, full of shops, bars and evening clubs. Just take a look at the large and spacious transparent windows to immediately realize that very precious treasures are kept inside: books, music albums, works of art.
